Exactly.. My dad had about 120 cows and fed out about 100 steers yearly, first on rye grass and then on grain. I also never heard or smelled a cow fart. OK, but logically, cattle eat grass, cattle are BIG.....so they MUST have some method for turning grass into protein for their huge bodies. So they have to munch a lot of grass and sent that through their 2 or 4 stomach compartments. Somehow that IS producing large quantities of METHANE and it must come out of one or the other end of the cattle. I seem to remember reading something about them BURPING.
........It is also possible that the methane escapes from the cow pies. Eventually, I will Googe this very "STICKY" subject.
