We will have to wait and see. I do think more mental health care infusions into communities is needed. California is usually very far sighted about things like this though. The media did play a big role in this would be my guess as well as someone's hatred.
And I doubt if desiring to be famous had much of anything to do with this. More like self-loathing and hatred of others.
