Because an RN has a lot of upside growth to make $50 an hour plus, a cast member is like a barista, just a stepping stone while working on maybe a higher education or it’s an internship. And all $100k+ jobs are not in crappy locations, we spend 8 months at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville (10 min from the beach)… and I’m sure there are lots of RNs doing well up there especially moving up the ladder from entry level to maybe getting into the OR or Oncology units. To be fair, some departments (like in the hospital post surgery floors) at the Mayo are also short staffed but I think that might be due to just a shortage of RNs.
