You could probably get it pretty cheap if you just use the same cheapo 20-year shingles the Developer used. And why not? Your insurance company will refuse to insure it when it hits 15 years, anyway, and you'll wind up replacing your perfectly good roof with 5 years remaining on the warranty, just like you're doing now, even if you put a 50-year roof on it. A good roof will just waste 35 years of roof instead of 5.
The roofing scammers, in cahoots with the insurance companies, created this insane only-in-Florida level of corruption, so why reward them by buying an expensive roof from them that you'll never use?
I've got a perfectly sound 20-year roof that the insurer removed from coverage the moment it hit 15. There's a law that says they can't do that. They did it anyway. Which tells you who's running this state. It sure ain't the voters.
