. I live in Lake Deaton between 466A and 44. I cut the cable 5 years ago and dumped cable period. Went with CenturyLink fiberoptic 100Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload speed, I also bought and used my own router, a onetime out of pocket purchase of $150. The package offered by CenturyLink at the time was $49/month, "Price For Life" with no contract required. CenturyLink has spun off their fiberoptic business and it is now called Quantum Fiber. In switching to Quantum my price went from $49/month to $30/month and my download speed went from 100Mbps to 200Mbps with an upload speed of 200Mbps as well. During the 5 years since I made the switch I have
never lost or have had interrupted service even during hurricanes, high winds and heavy rain. My service and router supports 3 TV's, 1 computer, 1 iPad and multiple cellular phones and I have never experienced any buffering. Good luck and smart move in cutting the cord.
