As if this would be unexpected I disagree with some of these points based on my own employer provided plan:
Freedom to choose what's in your plan No I don't get that now...if I lived in CA, where my company is based or in some major metropolitan city I could choose from several plans. But I don't so only one plan is offered.
Freedom to choose high-deductible coverage Nope only one plan...
And I do have a Healthcare Spending Account but no matching from my company. They did start the yearly plan with covering the deductible but as that went up the contribution did not.
Freedom to keep your existing plan Employers can change the plans at will...be serious. And mine is self insured
Freedom to choose your doctors Nope have to choose from a list of "approved doctors"

One point I will agree with is that gate keeper plans are scary. If you pick the wrong gate keeper he/she can get greedy and keep you from getting the care you need from a specialist. You will get care but from the primary doctor which, in the past, has had problems.
