Just came back from a windy, tough bike ride to the southern Villages. Due to the wind our bike group slowed down to a moderate pace. As we rode south on Meggison I had time to look closely at all the landscaping. Time has gone by and now the shrubs and trees, particularly against the Turnpike side, are absolutely beautiful! The Villages landscapers, in my opinion, need to be commended for an outstanding job. The mix of native Florida plants and other plants is artistically done. The mixture of Hollies, viburnums, palms, pines, etc. just looks great. I saw a number of native plum trees blooming and their white blossoms were accentuated by all the green plants that surrounded them. I can’t wait to see how they continue to grow and become even more beautiful. The north certainly looks nice too with its sheared shrubs and more formal landscaping, but I now also like the naturalized look of the southern area. Well done Villages!
