As I understand it, Adams misread the poll, and thought 53% of black people said it was not OK to be white. I listened to much of the longer podcast. I thought, in context, he was saying to stay away from black neighborhoods. But he has made a lot of money and hopefully is near retirement and will be OK. I agree that his words must be taken at face value since what he meant is not absolutely sure - but I think he more likely meant to stay away from Black neighborhoods.

Not that it is OK to even say "stay away from Black neighborhoods", it carries the assumption they are high crime neighborhoods. Or in Adams case, he thinks it is high crime and a majority there "hate" which people (which he is mistaken about, as I said).
