I've been a customer of USAA since the mid-70s. I moved here 3 years ago, and had no trouble getting a new homeowners policy in 2019.
That said, I was curious, and called USAA this morning (March 7, 2023). Yes, they ARE still writing new policies here for service members, as well as renewing them. I encourage interested existing clients of USAA to give them a call and confirm if you are shopping for Homeowners Insurance.
