You're required to own the gun legally to carry -

and yet you're convinced that none of the +/- 70 guns recovered were legally owned.

I guess that requirement doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

If you're ALLOWED to wear your gun on your holster openly, then how is the law going to figure out which of you is not supposed to have the gun at all?

Answer: you have to break some OTHER law in order to have the law even check. By that time it's too late.

The law is basically telling ILLEGAL gun owners that they now have a better chance of walking around in broad daylight with their guns at their hips, than they ever did before. Because now, EVERYONE can do that. They're hiding in plain sight.
