I guess that requirement doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

If you're ALLOWED to wear your gun on your holster openly, then how is the law going to figure out which of you is not supposed to have the gun at all?

Answer: you have to break some OTHER law in order to have the law even check. By that time it's too late.

The law is basically telling ILLEGAL gun owners that they now have a better chance of walking around in broad daylight with their guns at their hips, than they ever did before. Because now, EVERYONE can do that. They're hiding in plain sight.
So, you want to pass MORE laws that won't amount to a hill of beans?

Let me explain how they confiscated 70+ guns...

When the cops stop someone suspected of committing a crime, they are searched. If they find a gun, they can check to see if that gun is owned legally... If not, it is confiscated...

Now, once again, OPEN CARRY is not the discussion, because it is no longer on the table in FL...

Even if it was, the same rules apply. If you're stopped under suspicion of committing a crime, they can do a quick check. Add to that, criminal tend NOT to open carry. They don't want the added attention it brings...
