I retired in 2009 and left a city home only to the working class or those looking to get killed. I moved to Florida to enjoy the days I have left and not run around from state to state like some gypsy.
Most of these snowbirds go back North or whatever to babysit the out-of-school brats anyway, but they will not admit it: it's the reason they go wild when they return to the Villages !  |
Many of the vilified "Snow Birds" didn't come here from "working class city homes" where they were waiting to be killed. Many (or most) come from fancy, expensive homes, in exclusive suburbs, that they have no need to escape from.
Perhaps if your life was more accomplished, you'd think differently about those who are in a position to enjoy the best of both worlds.
