The SDSU kid who took the winning shot really impressed me with his composure and awareness of time in "do-or-die", childhood dream situation. He was stopped driving the baseline, checked the clock, saw there was only 2 sec left, and then deftly moved to his shooting spot. As a right-hand shooter, moving left is a tough jumper to hit. But this kid quickly moved about 5' to his left and squared up to the hoop as he hit his spot. He created space from his defender, jumped a good 20" nearly straight up, and nailed the shot with near perfect form. Agony, tears, and teeth gnashing for FAU players and fans - Ecstasy, jubilance, and joyous shouting for SDSU. One of the purest, most toughly fought March Madness games I've seen in recent memory. The winning shot will be on the highlight reels for years.
