We ended up just looking at the local FB marketplace and the classified on this site and bought a low mileage 6 year old cart for under $7000 that had over $2500 in add-ons when new (Sunbrella, upgraded wheels, upgraded dash, locking glove compartments, stereo, turn signals, etc). The couple didn't use it as much as most since they were not golfers.
We couldn't be happier with our purchase, and there were plenty of other golf cart deals around on used carts last Spring when the offseason was starting.

Smart move. "Refurbished" is simply a used cart, and you can get some great deals if you are patient and are willing to have some flexibility about options, color, etc.
