Respectfully disagree, it's amazing how effective synthetic oils are. Recently tore down several Suburbs all with more than 175K on them. It was amazing to see how little sludge there was. In fact there was virtually nothing in the valve train and oil pan. Also tore into a Harley with 110K on it, absolutely no sludge or even varnish anywhere. This is in an engine that routinely runs at 325 degrees.
