I bought a new two seat Evolution in September of 2001. I like the cart well enough, but the fit/finish is not at the level of the E-Z-Go electric carts. Mine has the 48V 180 battery, and it will go about 50 miles on a charge, I'm told. I would think yours would do that as well.
I like the look of the cart, the 14 inch wheels and low profile tires make it look sportier than the 10 inch fat tires on other carts. However, the ride is rougher. So I would make sure you test drive your cart well and over bumps before you pull the trigger. Test drive some of the carts at Villages Golf Carts for comparison.
You didn't say where you are purchasing your cart from, but we got ours from Villages Discount Golf Carts. Our cart had to go into the shop a few times. They do not have a loaner program. Also, unless their policy has changed, they set the top speed at 20 mph. That is the code in Florida, but other carts will pass you constantly, especially gas, but the electric EZ-Go as well. My friend bought one brand new from the Villages Golf Carts, and it does 22 - 23 mph.
