My EZ GO Elite goes 21 and sometimes 22 for a few seconds. I pass some carts and some carts pass me. When considering carts I felt that a proven brand that has been around for over 50 years was preferable to something that is innovative. I bought my cart from Villages Golf Carts and like the idea that I can take it to one of their service centers and get a loaner.

No disagreement here. The reason we went with the Evolution at the time was it was going to take six months back in 2021 to get a cart from them, and we wanted electric. The cart was in the shop three times as the battery was discharging too quickly. During the last visit, we were given an entirely new battery, under warranty. So far, so good.
When it comes out of warranty, I intend to contact someone that can remove the governed 20 MPH. My understanding is that these come from the factory at 25 mph, and can even be set higher. Not that I'm looking to speed, just move a little quicker on the straightaways, and not be "that guy" that is always leading the golf cart parade.
