California Utility Bills Based on Income
California will now charge people for their utililty bills based on income. Higher income people will pay more than lower income people. I usually don't defend California, but in this case, they are just copying what the Federal Government has been doing with Medicare Part B premiums for 20 years. Higher income people pay a higher Medicare Part B monthly premium for the exact same service. And now, it even applies to the Medicare Part D drug insurance.
