[QUOTE=I'm Popeye!;2211850]Why? What has he done personally to you, all it took was one click of your remote control to get him out of YOUR life. You must be one of THOSE with pink/green hair, and YES I have Guns... [/QUOTE

I certainly agree with this post, not focusing on any one of these "media stars" like Carson, Como, Lemon, etc. but puzzling when you read the comments like "thank God", and "it's about time" on any of their firings or departures. I have a few on every network I don't care for AT ALL, but if they leave or are "fired", is of no concern to me. I am able to just not watch them if I chose. I often like to watch those I don't care for personally from time to time ! I don't like to see and hear only what one particular person's, network's, or source's interpretation of an event or story is. My #1 dislike of all is when a politician gives a major speech, or when the "so called debates" are presented, and each network then EXPLAINS TO ME what each speaker said !!! That is the ultimate disingenuous behavior. Fine if a media person wants to come on and say to the audience: "this is what I got from the debates tonight", but no, they invariably say: "This is what YOU need to get from tonight's debate". Shows VERY LITTLE trust in our educational system to think those who complete just the minimum free education of 12 years, can not even process ideas and concepts put forth in a speech ??? That they need an interpreter to tell them what they should discern from a speech or debate ?
