The OP commented on the variation of amounts. For all the newbies who've moved here---the rain here is "spotty". As time goes by and you live here longer you'll see what I mean. It can rain in the front of your house but the sun could be shining in the back of it. Like-wise---it could be raining "cats and dogs" at the square and the sun shining at your house and vice-versa. We can have what I call a brief squall or something more lasting. Another instance I was reading comments earlier this week on NextDoor and someone mentioned the storm we'd had the night before and another piped in and asked, "what storm?"
