Perspective, Man… That’s rather Hollywood thinking. I would joke about not going to reunions because everyone looked so old. But the beauty and soul in those lines and wrinkles! The lives those faces have lived are told there including the joys, heartaches, hopes, dashed dreams, loss, accomplishments, pain, humor and so forth. Graduated in 1966, have seen and enjoyed much and my stories are many. Looks fade but I had my days in the good times, it’s time for the younger generation to enjoy their prime. Well said and good perspective about living in the past. A person has to move on and not live in the past. That said, I do enjoy H.S. class reunions and how they usually surprise you about how some people really change after H.S. “You can’t stay young forever but you can be immature for the rest of your life”.
