When we moved to TV, the moving truck had a very difficult time with the turns that had to be negotiated in our neighborhood. At that time the lots on the outside edge of the road had no houses on them. The driver had to pull way into those empty lots in order to back his trailer where it needed to be. If he tried to do that today with all the houses we have now, he would have to shuttle our furniture. One of the problems he had was that the tractor portion of the 18 wheeler had a very long chassis and required wide turns. The driver wasn't a novice trucker, he had been in the business for a lot of years.
