The first Indiana Jones movie
Raiders of the Lost Ark - Wikipedia came out in the Summer of 1981 and not for NOTHING.
I had picked up a fellow University of Nevada Reno Philosophy student Tom and we went. He had just recently been stabbed a number of times in the back and had been "dead" for a few minutes. This had been because he had tried to pick up a married woman in front of her husband in a bar. And he did not remember anything from the time when he flatlined.
When Indiana Jones faced off with the man with the sword I had been mortified that Tom's memories would cause a problem but he found the scene and the movie hilarious.
The Philosophy Department at UNR was upset when attempted murderer got off quite lightly due to a heat of the moment defense by the defense lawyer.
I had tried to find out what had become of Tom through a Reno, Nevada Facebook group and as soon as I had described Tom and his ways up pops his ex-wife whom I had not known he even had.
Tom would often invite me to various antics in downtown Reno which I invariably turned down. Not seeing the first Indiana Jones movie though.

The various Indiana Jones movies have kind of played an important part in my life as has the AALL. And one of these is coming up -- the next Indiana Jones movie-- as is the other-- the next AALL meeting. Harrison Ford filmography - Wikipedia
