I will add some more information, there have actually been some wiring harnesses that were specific to the turn signal switch being installed, these were typically on older carts. It appears the newer carts went to a "universal" 9 pin connector where the manual turn signal switch could plugin. Then it was also possible (like on our cart) to have the electronic turn signal switch plug into an electronic control module that then plugs into the wiring harness. If this is the case, then you need to use that specific manufacturer's parts to repair.
Look at the wiring harness for a part number or manufacturer's tag, also look as the turn signal switch for similar information.
