One thing you may want to consider is how the practice handles potential medical errors. Several eye practitioners in the Villages now force you to sign away your right to sue if they commit malpractice.
I don't know why they are so worried about malpractice unless they have been sued often which should give you pause. You wouldn't get in a taxi if the driver made you sign away your right to sue if he crashes. You wouldn't hire an architect who demands you can't sue if his design leads to your house leaning sideways.
Why would you go to a doctor who insists you cannot access the court no matter what mistake he makes?
