I was subject #613 in a study on stress on the unemployed conducted at the University of California, San Francisco Health Sciences Campus by their Stress and Health Project team over 17 weeks in December 1992 through March of 1993 . I had shown my Project Staff interviewer/contact my received letters and the like during various meetings but she had waited until the end of the study to tell me that what I was doing was worthwhile.
I had been writing many victim/witness assistance providers in every US state to see what they would like to see in their law, public and other types of libraries to help people pulled into the legal system. I meant survivors/victims of crimes but this also included those who were falsely accused.
I then would xerox and reduce these copies until I maybe I had 50 or more items of correspondence and would send these to more people around the world. I would send these to a very broad range of people in many different professions often using various Marquis
Who's Who in America volumes or other such Marquis Who's Who publications.
Did seem to be making an impact in the 1990s but also probably really angered some of the people who wanted to keep things just as they were.
The whole thing would make a pretty good John Grisham like story or movie.
