I've had two FireSticks in 2 years and one of them died fairly quickly. Either there is something about his Vizio TV that fries FireSticks or FireStick reliability is not what it should be. There are other options out there (Smart TVs, Roku sticks, AppleTV devices, etc.) that might be worth investigating. Look into whether or not they support all the streaming services that you like on your FireStick. Last I checked, Roku didn't have a DISH Network app and my buddy says that he watches Fox News through some app on his FireStick that was not available on Roku, so there are differences in app availability.

The Dish Network isn't an app. It's a satellite network. You can access most of the same channels that Dish lets you access, by downloading and subscribing to SlingTV with your Roku.
Here's some more info about it:

No idea what to do with a bad FireStick other than buy a new one. But if you're using a "jailbroken" one, you are probably going to just keep running into the same problems eventually. Best thing to do is get one that you buy "legit" and pay to subscribe to a subscription service to watch anything that the FireStick doesn't already come with out of the box.
For instance - with Roku we have a whole lot of channels available, but most of them are channels that offer obscure movies, there's a 007 channel that runs James Bond stuff 24/7, stuff like that. But if we want to watch normal TV and normal Cable channels, we have to buy a subscription to something. We choose YouTubeTV, some prefer Sling, and so on.
