We’ve done everything we’re capable of doing and still can’t find the ring. We fully reclined it and crawled as far under it as we could and searched. We flipped it over and got as far into it as we could. I thought of using a metal detector, but the whole frame of the piece is metal.
I called Family Furniture in Leesburg, where we purchased it and asked if we could request a service call and have their technician come and dismantle the piece in order to find it. We had service on the loveseat once before from them for another issue and the tech was able to completely pull apart most of the piece and put it all together. The manager said that that wasn’t something that would fall under “service” so they couldn’t help us. We do not have the expertise to completely dismantle the loveseat ourselves.
My husband is just beside himself about losing his wedding band. He’s worn it for 46 years and has never gone a day without it, even when in the hospital.
Does anyone know of a furniture technician that could help us? Any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I have one of those loveseats and I have lost several things that just seem to disappear. I would start by pulling the entire loveseat out from the wall. The only part that comes off is the back section of each seat. But, there are fabric pockets that can be separated or accessed with your hands to feel for the ring. The ring is probably stuck between two pieces of fabric.
Babettes has a guy named Bruce who knows everything there is to know about recliners. If you can get him to come out, Bruce will find the ring.
