No word on any water activities other than dragon boat racing. If they do allow it, it will be much better than the much at Lake Okahumpka. More likely it will be similar to Cherry Lake (Lake Sumter) and activities will be very restricted. As far a storage, 1) I've seen nothing in any of the plans I've found for such a facility, and 2) it would have to be run by the Rec Department and it's highly unlikely they will take on the responsibility of watching after private property, way too much liability.

On the topic of other watercraft in Central Lake; it's a rectangular man-made lake, not much to see, after the first 45 minutes you'd have seen all there is to see. The only possible exception to this might be sculling; but then the lake is too short and too narrow for that sport, by the time they'd hit their rhythm, it would be time to turn again, not much of a workout. While a standard scull race is 1 KM, the lake doesn't have the extra length needed fully support such a race.
