Not this again. OK, we have both a gas golf cart and an electric golf cart. The range of the electric is about 60 miles, don't know for sure since we would never come anywhere near that number of miles in a day. The only electric charging place we need is our garage. The time needed to recharge is not an issue since it is done after the last time the cart is used for the day and is fully charged in the morning. I believe the charging rate is about 5 miles per hour. In the unlikely event that the electric ran out of charge, or the gas cart ran out of gas, we would call Kart Aide. In the case of the electric cart, it would be flat bedded back to our garage (and would be unusable for several hours as it recharges) and in the case of the gas cart they would bring us a gallon of gas. This hasn't happened to us because we pay attention. If you aren't going to pay attention then you may be better off in a gas golf cart as you will be inconvenienced for a shorter period of time when you run out of gas. A much more likely event is a flat tire, which can happen to either cart, and has happened to us.

Limited range, limited charging places, and long wait time to charge.
Gas carts have a long range and you can "fill up" at any reachable gas station.
If you were to run out of gas, a friend can bring you a gas can.
If you were to run out of "juice", do you have a friend with a portable generator?
But, both could be towed if needed.
