O...M...G!!! The place is called Tower MN...the "awhile back" you refer to was Feb 3, 1996....or
almost 30 years ago. -60° below zero was the all-time low temperature ever set in the state of Minnesota on that date. And if you were going to quote statistics it has never even come close to that cold temp since.
And no.... in a town of 350 people in the dead of winter or any other time is or was there a "global warming conference" scheduled unless they were going to hold it a Bob's Amaco. I know....I was there at my lake home on Feb 3, 1996...and live there now.... (I think you just got exposed on the WWW)
