I do not think it is that common to begin with. But I do not have the numbers to back it up. I have been in this village for 8 years and the number that moved to an upgrade/downgrade is relatively small. Those that moved out or back home whether due to grandkids, loneliness, spouse passed or health reasons is a larger number.

I have noticed in the TOTV threads that some people buy a villa or something small with the intent to upgrade. I call that poor planning. If you disagree, I do not need to hear about it. It is still poor planning.

If you know what you want or need and have done your research on the areas and are happy where you are I see no reason to move unless it is back to where you came from for one of the reasons above.
