2 + 1/2 garage doors diy. I bought a pre cut kit for the large door from Romac. I would have picked up a kit for the golf cart door too, but they didn’t have one in stock. I bought another kit from Lowe’s for the smaller door. I used a battery powered drill to remove the hurricane bracing one at a time to install the insulation panels then reassembled the hurricane brace after each row of panels. This is the time consuming part of the job, but very DIY friendly. The Romac kit is very nice and the end result is professional quality. The kit from Lowe’s is OK, with a slightly different finish but does an equally nice job, but requires you to hand cut some panels.
I started last year by installing powered screens on both doors which work well during the “cooler” months. I also installed a powerful fan in the garage ceiling, but it’s so loud I rarely use it.
Ended up having a mini split A/C system installed which I highly recommend.
Also hired Romac to insulate the Garage attic.
