I am surprised that Oxyclean worked to remove iron stains. Ferric oxide is incredibly insoluble. Using oxalic acid or Iron out as suggested elsewhere would reduce the ferric ion to ferrous making it much more soluble. However, if the stain is organic in nature, then Oxyclean would do a great job.
