Your "golf ball" comment struck me thanks to a situation a few years ago. I was playing in one of the local Villages tournaments and on the practice green two guys were almost coming to blows over a golf ball. Each guy said it was his. It got to the point where I walked over, reached into my pocket and gave each guy a Titleist, said "It's only a golf ball", picked up the ball in question and walked away. That ended the dispute.
