IMHO, you may not have to remove the old cage, just the wall (or walls) that you want to be panoramic. These appear to have heavier horizontal members, and you MAY be able to have the new members installed while retaining a lot of the roof superstructure. I would ask if this is possible and if it would save time and money. Now if the existing structure is showing significant wear and tear, then by all means replace it.
