Why is it that I get an image of a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds when people talk about the snowbirds returning? I don't recall it being that bad last Feb/March when we were here, but then again, we were busy setting up our house at the time and weren't doing a lot of golfing/dining. I do recall the nuisance of traffic jams on Morse, but hopefully the new construction will take care of that.
On the other hand, I tend to like it when a restaurant is full (as long as the lines are not too long) - it gives a sense of vibrancy as well as a comforting feeling that it is not about to go out of business. We were in Sonny's last night and the place was half-full, at best. I commented to my wife that I hope the snowbirds come and fill the place up so that they will stay in business.
