We find the “south” is very much younger..many in their 50s. Most are Very happy not to have the constant traffic large parking lots that are a zoo. Since it’s seems younger…everyone seems happy to drive 5-10 minutes to any area other than the peace and quiet of their neighborhood.

So your personal experience is you don’t like the turnpike noise, and you find it quite intense. Maybe you should rethink living there, that you didn’t go down to the lot you chose and sit for hours many days of the week.

We live 5 streets over, a few times we can hear the humming of the turnpike, than again we can hear the train whistle, and the wheels clacking about the same noise as you call pollution. That’s only outside, in our house we hear nothing, plus have a great view.

But my gut tells me you don’t live anywhere near the turnpike, you like many others that complain about something that one doesn’t have a clue.

We left the north (fourth house) to live in an area so we don’t have to deal with big box, and traffic. We have the ability to drive, maybe once we are in the older age bracket, of the north, we may not want all the walking paths, and retail traffic. But I doubt it
