There wasn’t a scare tactic..just as there wasn’t one during the pandemic when homes were selling before they could take pics.

Supply and demand, those who wanted to live in the new LSL area, because that could be the last square. Brownwood property was already in family, but public did know that.
When we came in 07 SS retail space, was full, KBs was packed with people who spent money on good food, and a great bar, with entertainment.

LSL had was empty, developer owned retail and restaurant, movie theater, although you had to go to SS for any new movies. You didn’t have people (Goldwing nut) flying drones over land that was starting to be developed, to know building wouldn’t stop. Houses took longer in those days, it’s wasn’t the science as todays build. Home were no built in 30 days as they are now. Our first home we bought in May, July first the homes across the street were just being completed. So again less homes on the market, more people looking than available

The developer was advertising heavily on golf tournaments, and golf magazines. A lifestyle package included breakfast at what is now Panera. Dinner at KBs, Palmer, Lopez, 4 rounds of golf at champ of your choosing, tennis, 4 movie tickets, and 2 classes of your choice. All for $285 4 days 3 nights at LSL.

Once people came here, they fell in love with the “lifestyle”. Many wanted to buy while there were houses.

Not at anytime did our rep, who is now over most of all sales reps, pressure us. In fact he called us once gave us his contact number if we wanted to see homes. We choose not to look, with him, stopped at couple open houses. 2 more visits before we finally called him to look at houses. Again no scare tactics, from our rep, just people who didn’t want to miss getting a home here.
