The Villages health has a very good audiologist (I need to find her card), a specialist that accepts Medicare and supplemental. In any case, she can clean your ears of wax (very important) and then test your hearing. I have mild loss and was told I may be able to use the OTC hearing aids, but you need a qualified individual to do the testing. I agree with above hearing aids need to be fitted to the individual, and what works for me may not work for you. Make sure whatever brand you decide to go with has a test period so you can make sure these are suitable.
