We needed a large generator with 220, up north, we would lose power for 10 days mid winter, zero and below temps. We could run everything including cable. It was expensive, we used it for 6 years, when we moved gave it to our daughter which they used for 2 months after a tornado damaged their neighborhood.

We need power to run some medical equipment, but have never had issues in TV.
