During a hurricane they do want people to get out of manufactured houses as these homes are not built to the code that later homes were built. I suppose one could always make friends with people on the other side of TV and stay with them for a day or two while the storm passed.

LOL Will ya just look at all those manufactured homes and even a few original trailer homes that have survived all those years of hurricanes/tropical storms and are still there! They may not be current code but they have hurricane strapping! Those folks are the hearty folks who stay with their ship and haven't gone down yet!
