When I got a white slimy sauce on my Shrimps with Lobster sauce down here, I knew I was in trouble. Oh, for Kowloon's Shrimp with Lobster Sauce . . .

Forget about good Chinese food. It doesn't exist. In fact the last time we got Chinese food from #1, which was one of the best we have found, I said to my wife, "next time we are going to Panda Express". That is sacrilegious up north but at least it is consistently okay down here.

Pizza . . . Belleview Pizza. Best we have found and their other Italian food is very good. Cash only and opens at 3 PM. BOGO pasta meals 3 PM - 5 PM (I think that's the times). Get the large and bring home half for tomorrow. Super thick Sicilian from NYPD is good if you go that way. And for a quick surprisingly tasty option, Hungry Howies (next to Winn Dixie in LA Plaza Grande South) with garlic crust may help with any needs.

Seafood - Dan's Clam Stand, Crystal River + Lena's Seafood, Silver Springs + Essex Seafood House, Pierson . . . . all owned by real New Englanders and as close to clam shacks back home as you can get. All worth the trip. A much closer option, and a real dive, is Oh Shucks in Wildwood. After a few $1 drafts everything will taste good, but they have good fried and raw oysters if you like that and also good haddock and sea scallops. Sam St. John's Seafood in Summerfield isn't all that great but on Fridays they have fresh fried clams from the Ipswich. It is a secret menu item and you have to ask for them.

So you are going to be disappointed with the food, but remember we have happy hours and the multiple drinks will really help you adjust.

Now for something completely different, adjust your taste buds and think BBQ and head over to County Line Smokehouse in Weirsdale on route 25 and indulge in the best BBQ around. It's also a bit on the divy side but the food is made from scratch and fantastic.
