I got prices on a new Yamaha gas cart from The Villages Yamaha and Clubs and Carts. I found the price of new carts to be virtually identical. Is there any real reason not to buy in The Villages for convenience?

It seems that the base price of a factory model is about $6400 from either. Online, I see many places offering the same version for $4800, so I think that Villagers are getting somewhat taken by both. Has anyone been able to bargain on a new cart. I can't imagine walking into a new car showroom and paying whatever the sales person decided to first quote me.

Accessories also seem to be with large markups. A Yamaha cooler is $85 from the dealer and about $25 online. Can you imagine walking into Walmart's and paying $85 for a small 6 pack cooler?
