I would guess that the group behind you were anxious to finish the 9 holes.

1, 2, and or 3 may have applied to them.

I do not think they did anything wrong. In fact I would have offered them (the faster players) the opportunity to play through.

Bottom line, playing after the staff goes home, we are on our own.

But remember - this was an exec - hard to let someone play thru on a par 3 where there is no place for them to go in front of you!
