Since they are still in business, but sold off the part of their business they gave out the credits for, they should have done one of two things. Either made honoring the credits a sale contingency to the buyer, or paid the cash value of the credits to the credit holders. There is a right and wrong way to business, and since they are still in the business of providing services to Villagers, they should take the high road.
