We moved here 2 months ago and got Xfinity for both WiFi and Mobile service. None of our smart plugs will connect to Alexa or phone apps. In fact of the numerous WiFi products I've tried to connect to the WiFi only our thermostat worked, and our burglar alarm, but I stayed on the phone for 45 minutes with the alarm company to get that connected.

With that said- has anyone had any issues with Xfinity WiFi / Mobile and pairing smart devices? And if so what was the solution?

Thanks
I have xfinity and have had no problems, BUT I didn't move my devices, they were initially set up on this wifi.

Are you using the same SSID and password that you used up north? If not then the device would still be trying to connect to your old network. They would need to be reset and reconfigured to work with the new SSID and password.

My father has a device that for some reason has problems and needs to be reconfigured every time the wifi router is replaced. It could be that some of your devices would have this problem but it is odd that all of them would.

Have you tried going through the xfinity app to see if the devices have connected to your wifi? This might give you some idea of what might be going on.

Also, it is always possible that the wifi portion of the router is having some issue. This might be hard to prove based on smart devices but if you saw issues connecting your phone or laptop then it would be something to talk to xfinity about.

Confirmation bias is real; I can find any number of articles that say so.
