Pretty sure I don't agree with the different SSID. While my smart devices were all installed down here on this router, my laptop, phones, and tablets were all configured back in MD on another router. Once I configured this FL router with the same SSID and password all those devices connected.
Don't know why smart devices would behave any differently but also haven't taken the time to try it (yet) or heard definitively from someone who did try it.
