Hacienda Hills, like nearly all of the championship courses I've played this year, is looking good because of all the rain we had through the hottest months. In fact, I think due to wet conditions and the difficulty mowing in such areas, fairways and rough are a bit lush. I've seen tee boxes on some courses with grass so high that the golf ball on a tee looks like it is sitting on the grass. A much better challenge than trying to deal with burnt greens and fairways. I said some unkind words under my breath putting on punched greens this year, but I knew that the end result would be worth it later in the year. Just in time for the snowbirds. ν ½νΈ
