The wall pipe is the one with zig zags. That would slip inside of your flex pipe. It can also allow vent gas to slip out through the ripples. So that is why it must be sealed. There does not appear to be sufficient room to do that properly because the area needing sealing is out of reach inside the wall cavity. Moisture and CO (if a gas dryer) is a very bad thing in your wall and house. Moisture leads to mold. High CO leads to death. If you cannot seal it, this is a warranty problem. TV needs to install the piping properly.

That flex pipe appears to be the wrong type. Aluminum foil flex is not approved for dryer use because it's dangerous. For detailed reference info look at lsdvc (dot com) - a dryer vent cleaning company with DIY information about this topic; photos, descriptions, product info.
